All faculty members possess vast industry and government experience in both high-tech and traditional fields.
Dr. Muzaffar A. Shaikh
Dr. Shaikh is Professor and Head of the Engineering Systems Department. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and possesses over 37 years of industry and defense contracting experience. He has published or presented 103 articles in journals, proceedings, conferences and he has written 100 newspaper articles. Dr. Shaikh is an associate editor of the INCOSE System Engineering Journal and the North American editor of the Business Process Management Journal . He is a member of the Operations Research Society of America. Recently, Dr. Shaikh was selected as a member of the Race and Ethnic Advisory Committee of the United States Census Bureau by the Secretary of Commerce Donald Evans.

Dr. William W. Arrasmith
Dr Arrasmith is currently an associate professor in the Department of Engineering Systems at FIT . He has 20 years experience with government research and development programs and has extensive exposure to electro-optical, infrared, and laser detection systems. Dr Arrasmith spent 2 years at the Air Force Office of Scientific Research were he initiated basic research into imaging systems. While there, he organized a workshop on Smart Sensing for Space and Airborne applications that was widely attended by government, academic and industrial organizations. This work is of fundamental importance and relevance to the current effort. Dr. Arrasmith has experience with multi-phenomenology sensing, digital signal processing techniques, and computational electromagnetics. He has authored 9 papers and chaired numerous national level technical groups and conference sessions.

Dr. Carmo D'Cruz
Dr. D'Cruz is Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering Systems at Florida Tech. He has also served as member of the adjunct faculty in the Industrial Engineering and Management Systems Department (College of Engineering) and the Management Department (College of Business) at the University of Central Florida and in the Engineering Management Program at Florida Tech. A twenty-year veteran of the electronics and semiconductor industry, D'Cruz's research and teaching focus is in engineering management, product strategy, technology commercialization, technical marketing, engineering entrepreneurship and wireless data technologies. He has a M.S.E.E. from Drexel University, a M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and a doctorate in engineering management from Southern Methodist University

Dr. Wade H. Shaw
Dr. Shaw is Professor of Engineering and Technology Management. He holds Ph.D. in Engineering Management and is registered professional Engineer in 3 states. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and in 2000 was awarded a Millennium Medal for his contributions to the field of engineering management. He is currently an Editor in Chief of the IEEE Engineering Management Review. He served as the President of the IEEE Engineering Management Society. His research has been sponsored by NIST, NSF, DARPA, DoD, SEMATECH, SRC , US Air Force, and the US Army. In 1999 he was invited as one of 50 technology futurists to provide a chapter to the book Engineering the Future, Today's Technology Experts Envision the Next Century . |

Dr. Webster is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering Systems at Florida Tech. Prior to coming to Florida Tech, he spent 21 years with Northrop Grumman Corporation, where he worked in various areas in both the Systems and Software Engineering directorates, ending up as the senior Database Administrator for the Engineering Tools Group, responsible for the operation of over 50 databases and associated applications distributed across the country. He holds a BS degree in Computer Science, an MS degree in Computer Science, an MS degree in Systems Engineering, and a PhD degree in Computer Science. While a student, he was accepted for a doctoral internship with the Autonomous Systems Group at NASA Ames Research Center. Dr. Webster has had several papers published at international industry and academic conferences, and has chaired conference sessions in both artificial intelligence and databases.

Ms. Meredith Scholtens
Meredith is currently working towards a degree in Pre-Professional Biology at Florida Tech and hopes to some day attend Medical School. She is originally from Manhattan, New York. Meredith enjoys acting, singing, and hiking. She is currently a member of the Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society, College Players, and the Florida Tech Pre-Med Club.
