Welcome to the Applied Mathematics Department! 

The primary mission of the Applied Mathematics Department (AMD) is to provide a solid background of fundamental mathematics education in support of all undergraduate degree programs at the Florida Institute of Technology.  Our faculty and staff accomplish this by 1) placing students in the most appropriate starting mathematics course for the students skill level and major, 2) hiring, assigning, and mentoring the best teachers who are completely dedicated to ensuring the best possible success of their students, and 3) incorporating the use of technology (such as online homework and Mathematica labs) into the early level mathematics courses.
