The School of Computing is a new unit within the College of Engineering that focuses of the various aspects of understanding and using computational tools and mathematics. The School of Computing provides educational support and opportunities for students to maximize their potential for success in mastering these subjects while preparing them for their chosen major. In addition the School focuses on expanding cross and multi discipline research activities, innovative educational delivery techniques, and establishing a reputation for leadership in the specific mathematics, computing, and computational related disciplines.

Within the School of Computing the Department of Applied Mathematics is responsible for the undergraduate math course taken by all majors. The undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Mathematics are part of the Mathematical Science Department in the College of Science. As the School of Computing grows and evolves additional academic service units and degree programs will be added.
