Research Assistantship

Description

These assistantships cover tuition and provide a stipend for living expenses. Applicants are primarily selected based on their GPA; TOEFL score, GRE score, recommendations, and expressed interest in carrying out research work. Research assistants are required to have a TOEFL score of greater than 600. It is imperative that they speak and write English well. Although a GRE score is not required, it is highly recommended. Typically, research assistant are hired by a faculty to work on a research project. Therefore, availability depends on current research grants. A student on a full research assistantship is required to work an average of 20 hours per week on the research project. Partial research assistantships may also be available. Students are encouraged to contact the faculty in their respective areas of interest for availability of research assistantships.
