Message from the Program Chair

Choose Construction Management – A Growing Career Field

After more than 30 years in the construction industry, I joined Florida Tech to use my extensive experience in government and private construction to train the next generation of construction professionals. I am confident that you’ll find the construction management degree program that we’ve built at Florida Tech is among the best in the nation, offering a curriculum that contains all the skills necessary to succeed as a construction project manager.

Florida Tech’s program was created in response to, and with the cooperation of, industry leaders. The vision was to develop a program that would provide essential skills needed for success in the industry. The goal is to graduate a construction project manager who is ready for the workplace, needing no on-the-job training following graduation. The needs of the industry are constantly incorporated into Florida Tech’s curriculum through bi-annual meetings with a very active Construction Industry Advisory Board and following the standards set by the American Council of Construction Educators (ACCE).
